Industrial designer Vanessa Beijl started her own design studio and upholstery workshop in March 2020 at 'de Fabriek' in Overschie, Rotterdam. Studio DMV can guide you through design processes from idea to a functional prototype. Vanessa possesses extensive experience in various production and prototyping techniques using different materials. A proof of concept can be quickly delivered through 3D printing. SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) can be employed with many materials that have technical properties comparable to injection-molded parts.
Vanessa also holds ample expertise in casting with synthetic resins and two-component (2K) silicone parts. During her time at Dutch Creative Brands, she designed products for brands such as Vacu Vin and Tomorrow’s Kitchen, participated in "Het Beste Idee van Nederland" (The Best Idea of the Netherlands), and collaborated with external parties. Her involvement spanned from ideation and customer journey mapping to prototyping, testing, and creating technical drawings. Studio DMV also offers services for visualizations in freehand sketches, 3D drawings, and renderings.
